The Honorable Sharon R. Bock, Esq. (Palm Beach), was recognized for her innovative Guardianship Fraud Program & Hotline during the 4th World Congress on Adult Guardianship in Berlin, Germany, September 14 -17, 2016.

The Clerk’s office is the only organization in the United States and one of nine worldwide selected to be honored at the international assembly.

The three-day conference provided guardianship advocates from countries around the world a rare opportunity to share problems and solutions. Organizers of this bi-annual, worldwide symposium encourage international exchange on the ideas, concepts and practices of the protection of vulnerable adults.

“The exploitation of our most vulnerable citizens is not only an issue in the United States, it is a worldwide crisis,” said Clerk Bock. “I have made it my mission to team up with leaders on a national and international level to strengthen guardianship laws.”

More than 350 international participants were scheduled to attend the 4th World Congress. The assembly took place under the auspices of the German Federal Minister of Justice and for Consumer Protection and was hosted by the German Betreuung Association in collaboration with the International Guardianship Network.
