Alice, a 98 year old disabled ward of the Probate Court of Cook County no longer enjoyed the taste food or the quench of thirst. Alice was a good eater and never had a swallowing problem. Yet, the learned Judge Kowamoto, the court adjudicated insane guardian and her GAL ordered the implant...against the wishes of her family. Was this implant devise for Alice's benefit? An Indiana nurse who was once accused in the death of a nursing home resident is now facing new charges related to the same incident.
