I believe in the RULE OF LAW

I believe in the RULE OF LAW and that most of the members of the 2nd oldest profession are decent and honest people.  I believe that most of the law enforcement people who I communicate regularly are honest people and will do the right thing.

One of the reasons that I have given so much effort to try to understand the problem is that I know just how hard it is to obtain a conviction and the pressures that prosecutors face.   In the Maltese (Betty) I watch special agent Fitzgerald bout with frustration as he painstakingly developed evidence of her perfidy and then had to endure a prosecution in which every stitch of evidence he developed went by the board as the Government prosecuted her for an entirely different set of crimes.

I was at the table (surrounded by friends from the Law Enforcement community) when the news a announced.   (It was a wedding party).   As I had an investment in the matter the emotional impact was not lost on me.

The same situation exists in the elder cleansing criminal enterprise.   For the me the distinction is that I have been isolated from the investigation.   Oh - I know about the fact that the FBI in Miami turned one of the nursing home operatives, and that another has been seriously talked to.   I know this other operative made inquiry of me as to barring is soul.   I relayed the information and as expected I heard nothing - except that my e-mail address for this potential informant no longer works.   I also know that another contact has also dried up -    There was a time when this frustrating situation was commonplace amongst investigators as well as outlookers.   The IRS kept secret their investigation for the FBI etc.    It was rare that work was not duplicated.

The foregoing notwithstanding there are billions of dollars in uncollected income taxes, penalties, and interest that the miscreants owe to State and local governments. The elder cleansing is indiscriminate and every agent (Federal and State) knows that both he and his family are potential victims,
