Today's Wall Street Journal article was a boost to my morale. The article pointed out that like or not government is recognizing the fact health care fraud is a cancer that is metastatic and if unchecked will destroy our core values. This cancer and the political alliances that it has created are carbon copies of the 1930's totalitarian movements that brought about the chaos of the 1940s. Being a good Nazi is no an excuse! We all get old. We all become vulnerable. No one escapes and if we do not act now to deal with elder cleansing each of us might have an C*****F*****, A***** S******, M***** S*******or worse in our future.
This lesson was brought home to me when my friend Harry Heckert succumbed to cancer and died. My conversation with my brother today laid emphasis on that fact again - this time in spaces doubled and redoubled. The thread of life is frail and well out of our personal control. I am proud of JoAnne's exceptions and Amu's Petition for Cert. In those documents they distinguished themselves by standing up and being counted as warriors in the Fight against elder cleansing and the promulgators thereof.
The political types enact laws with great abandon but few are universally enforced. All the laws enacted in America the protect citizens all have one theme - "do no harm!" Similarly all the laws that govern us are intended by the legislature to honor, protect, and abide by the Bill of Rights. (N. B. For Mr. Larkin and the Illinois Attorney Registration and Distortion Commission - the First ten Amendments to the United States Constitution). Guardianship is not a punishment and not intended as death sentence! It is too bad the corrupt judicial and political types have turned it into just that as well as money machine for themselves. Guardianship is part of the parens patrie concept and intended to be limited to making a reasonable accommodation for a disabled person so that he/she may live a full and happy life as an American citizen.
Pursuant to 18 USCA 4 we each have the obligation of reporting the felonies of elder care and pursuant to title 18 our National government has the duty to enforce the civil rights acts (18 USCA 242) so that a Jerome Larkin et al cannot strip any citizen of his/her rights privileges and immunities protected by the Federal Constitution. It is time for a Grand Jury to investigate elder cleansing and in particular the obstruction of justice and cover-up orchestrated by Jerome Larkin and his cadre of *****.
