Senator Mark Kirk introduces anti-bullying bill

February 28, 2013 (WASHINGTON) (WLS) -- U.S. Senator Mark Kirk introduced legislation to help prevent bullying in schools.
The Safe School Improvement Act would require schools and districts that receive federal money to adopt codes of conduct that specifically prohibit bullying and harassment.
According to Kirk, about one-third of students between the ages of 12 and 18 are victims of bullying.
Kirk said he wants the law to prevent bullying before it starts.
