Pa. couple get time served in Russian son's death
YORK, Pa. (AP) -- A Pennsylvania couple has been sentenced to time served in the head-injury death of their 7-year-old Russian son.
Michael and Nanette Craver say their son Nathaniel suffered from fetal alcohol syndrome and regularly abused himself.
A jury convicted them of involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment in the August 2009 death, but acquitted them of murder charges.
A York County judge Friday sentenced the Cravers to the 19 months they spent in prison before trial, plus probation.
The Cravers say Nathaniel ran headlong into a pellet stove the night before they found him unconscious.
Prosecutors argued that the Carroll Township couple failed to follow through on treatment and therapy programs.
Russian authorities say at least 17 Russian children have died in domestic-violence incidents in their American families.

Editor's note: Unfortunately, many countries have been exporting adoptive children with hidden, severe mental and physical defects. Therapy programs are centered on "criminals" and criminals have no problem with these programs. Innocent people will not admit their "guilt" which is part of the "therapy"...and why should they.
