How to File a Complaint Against a Judge and an Attorney (Chapter 1-Judges; part 1)

by Impeach Judge Randy Kennedy

(We're giving Judge Kennedy's mug a break and featuring Timothy Discenza, lead counsel, Tennessee Court of the Judiciary)

http://www.tncourts.gov/court-judiciary

Timothy Discenza, Disciplinary Counsel, Court of the Judiciary, PO Box 50356, Nashville, TN, 37205 (no phone number listed for Mr. Discenza)

Administrative Office of the Courts, 511 Union Street, Suite 600, Nashville, TN 37219; 615 741-2687 800 448-7970

[for the readers in Davidson County, TN, and the state of Tennessee, understand that membership in our COJ (Court of the Judiciary) seems to constantly change. This is the latest contact information as I have it; out of respect for the COJ membership, I will not reveal personal cell phone numbers or email addresses I've been given unless necessary]

Included above is the latest address of the Tennessee Court of the Judiciary's latest lead counsel (they both change a lot). This is where you want to mail a complaint. Certain addresses with the COJ have changed several times within the last two years. They seem to move around a lot. In fact, when I attempted to contact Timothy Discenza two months ago, he answered the phone and asked me to call him back "next week" because he was moving his office. His flippant statement revealed a lot of the problems with our COJ here in Tennessee. "Moving" seemed to take precedent over an outstanding complaint and complainant; and I was the one required to "call him back". How can anyone call Mr. Discenza back if he's moving to another city and his new number isn't listed (and he did not offer one). I'm astounded at the presumption of stupidity on the part of our COJ while a presumption of correctness is required for them of their constituents. Discenza is obviously "one of them". But, I'll probably run into him at the Post Office since I maintain a box there. (I'm a pretty friendly guy, Mr. Discenza, so have no fears). But I will be providing you the route to go over and around our impotent COJ for the Tennessee readers.

Also, included are the phone numbers of the Adm. Off. of the Courts. Phone numbers for the COJ change, every now and then, and will frustrate you in your efforts to find a talking head. If you have a problem getting someone on the phone, Google Court of the Judiciary (or the applicable name of this body for your jurisdiction within your country) and you should find the current addresses and, hopefully, phone numbers. Or call the Adm. Off of the Courts and ask them for the contact numbers for the COJ.

The web site you will need to navigate is listed at the very top of this post. I'll give it to you here again: http://www.tncourts.gov/court-judiciary

Begin by finding the Tennessee Supreme Court Judicial Code of Ethics or Code of Judicial Conduct. It's not an easy read, but if you are going to file a complaint you will have to knuckle down and attain a working knowledge of this Code. I'm only passing on what was suggested to me and it seems to be a successful template.

In the next post, I will give you suggestions that could help you if you find this all too daunting of a task (and it IS daunting).

I would not suggest hiring an attorney to assist in this matter (at least not in Davidson County, Nashville, TN) for they will ultimately compromise your efforts (remember, "I've got to work in this town"). Finding an ethical attorney to do what is required of them by their own rules is like trying to find a virgin in a whore house.
