Mob boss Domrani arrested - for forging a traffic ticket

Editor's note: Even in the Holy Land...such a (shameful act) shandah! A LAW (light anti-tank weapon) missile...and we worry about  (mean looking military style semi-automatic rifles) assault weapons.  Lucius Verenus, Schoolmaster,  ProbateSharks.com

Reputed mobster Shalom Domrani, for years one of the main targets of Israel Police, was arrested last night – for illegally altering a traffic ticket.

Domrani, considered the leader of a major criminal organization based in the south of Israel, was arrested along with two associates by officers from the economic crimes branch of the “LAHAV 433” of the Israel Police.

According to police, the 38-year-old Domrani received a speeding ticket in the early hours of the morning of February 3. Police said that Domrani and his two associates then altered the police affidavit on the arrest report, in an attempt to put the charge on a different driver.

The Rishon Letzion Magistrate’s Court extended the remand of each of the men by four days. They potentially face charges of aggravated counterfeiting and fraud, among other charges.

In December of last year, the southern branch of the YAMAR investigative unit reported that they had cracked an attempt by rival mobsters to fire a LAW missile at Domrani’s house. The plot reportedly involved one would-be assassin driving a tractor to a field near Domrani’s house on Moshav Otzem, where he would then climb atop the raised front-loader and fire the missile at Domrani’s house.

Police said that if the plan had been successful, it would have sparked an all-out gang war between Domrani’s organization and rival gangs in the south. The plan was revealed by police not long after Domrani returned to Israel from Morocco, where he had relocated several months earlier in order to escape the heat from ongoing police investigations.
