Thirty-six U.S. Senate seats are on the ballot this November. Twenty-one of them are held by Democrats and 15 by Republicans.  The latest numbers out of Kansas are a concern for Republicans who need to pick up six seats to take control of the Senate without losing any of the seats they currently hold. At week's end, the Rasmussen Senate Balance of Power Rankings show 15 races Safe Republican and nine Safe Democrat. Three lean Republican, two lean Democrat and one leans Independent. Six races are Toss-Ups.

Thirty-six U.S. Senate seats are on the ballot this November. Twenty-one of them are held by Democrats and 15 by Republicans. The GOP needs a net gain of six seats to take control of the Senate, and Arkansas moved the Republicans' way this week. Another critical state - Colorado - remains a Toss-Up.

What America Thinks

Thirty-six U.S. Senate seats are on the ballot this November. Twenty-one of them are held by Democrats and 15 by Republicans. Thirty-six governorships are at stake, too.
In Rasmussen Reports polling this week, the gap has narrowed slightly between Democrat Jeanne Shaheen and Republican Scott Brown in New Hampshire's closely-watched Senate race. Shaheen now leads Brown 48% to 42%. Among voters that are certain to vote on Election Day, that lead narrows to 48% to 44%. New Hampshire is still rated Leans Democrat in the Rasmussen Reports 2014 Senate Balance of Power rankings.
