Kanebo Cosmetics to recall 54 products
TOKYO, July 4, Kyodo
Kanebo Cosmetics Inc. said Thursday it will recall 54 of its cosmetics products, including face lotions and emulsions, as it has confirmed some cases in which users saw patchy whitening of their skin.
Kanebo Cosmetics President Masumi Natsusaka told a news conference, "We offer a sincere apology as we have caused our customers and related parties serious troubles and anxieties."
"We have had a false sense of confidence that we have operated business with thoroughly appropriate standards of conducts, so we will reexamine our standards," he said.
