Chicago Board of Elections now involved in state senate race

Chicago is infamous for its rough and tumble politics. The upcoming primary is no different.

This story starts with heated mudslinging as the Chicago Board of Elections played referee in state senate race.

But the political intrigue goes beyond just this high volume hearing. There are charges of bribery and claims of an FBI wiretap.

Raul Montes Jr is fighting to get back on the ballot after a hearing officer ruled his campaign papers had been altered. Montes Jr charges it's mean spirited campaign to keep him from running against incumbent State Senator Steve Landek.
