The disciplinary commissions are set up with only one purpose

The disciplinary commissions are set up with only one purpose - i.e. protecting the public from bad lawyers, judges and judicial officials.    As they have no other function any action taken outside that gambit is ultra vires.   Indeed, these ultra vires functions are at the very least quasi criminal.    We need an honest investigation to protect the public from the bad people who are misusing their mandate.

As we have all noted, the disciplinary commission in many states is a 'cover up' operation to protect the dominant political system and its cronies.   Here in Illinois it supports a massive cover=up of the selling of judgeships, the exploitation of the elderly (elder cleansings) and other criminal activities which we have not ascertained as yet.  The enforcement of the Code of Silence as to the criminal activities of certain icons of the bench is reprehensible and wrong.

Why law enforcement does not join in the fight for an honest judiciary and legal profession is a mystery - but not too big a mystery!  Every step forward is progress!
