The Bruce Report- Volume 88

The Bruce Report- Volume 88

The Regular Guy Movie Reviews
Race- 3 Little Brucies
Nicely told story about our greatest track and field athlete Jesse Owens! The film covers the years 1933- until 1936 where Jesse shoved it up ole Adolph's butt at the Berlin Olympics! It covers the bigotry he had to endure at Ohio State and Germany! There is a side story where the USOC pulled Jewish runners Marty Glickman and Sam Stoller off the relay team because of German politics! See it and take the kids!
Witch- 1.5 Little Brucies
The critics loved this movie, but not me! A good horror film is Pycho or The Shining or The Exorcist! Not this piece of crap! I could hardly understand the words and the film was boring! I left with 15 minutes to go and told the rest of the audience that the movie sucked! Two people yelled back " You are right" One said "Shut the F up"! Awful!
Risen- 2.5 Little Brucies
Nice story of Christ rising from his tomb and the Roman's searching for him!

The Baldi Twins
My old friends Sandy and Candy Baldi wintering in Hilton Head ran into a campaigning Jeb Bush! Jeb was so enthralled with these two beauties that i think they were the real reason he dropped out of the Presidential race!
My Cubbies
Hooray, Baseball is back and while everyone is all excited over the Cubs chances to go to the World Series, i am cautiously optimistic! I remember the disappointments in 69-84-89-2003-2004- 2007-2008 and while last year was an unexpected rousing success, they still lost at the end! The Cardinals and Pirates are still strong and i will never forget 1985 when leading the division in early June, all five started went down within a two week period and they didn't even finish at five hundred! Born in 1947 i am one the oldest people to never see the Cubs in the World Series! But "Hope springs eternal"!
My Academy Awards Picks
Best Film- Spotlight
Best Actor- Leonardo DiCapria
Beat Actress- Brie Larson
Best Supporting Actor- Sylvester Stallone
Best Supporting Actress- Kate Winslett
Best Director- Alejandro G. Inaratu
Well gang it's Happy Trails time again! One confession! I was hooked on the Hokey Pokey, but i turned myself around! See you next week!
Little Brucie!
