Mom's Angry Note to Teacher About Islam Assignment Goes Viral

READ: Mom's Angry Note to Teacher About Islam Assignment Goes Viral

As seen on Fox and Friends

A California mother says she refused to let her son complete a homework assignment on Islam, sending back an angry message for his teacher.
Tara Cali, of Bakersfield, uploaded a photo of the worksheet to Facebook, bringing it to the attention of a local news station, KGET-TV.
The seventh-grade history assignment asked students to name the Five Pillars of Islam and to summarize Islamic beliefs and practices, "Fox and Friends" reported today.
It also provided a barcode for students to scan with their cell phone in order to listen to a Muslim prayer online.
The mother wrote on the sheet that her son will “not be a part of this in any sort of way” and directed the school to call her lawyer.
She also included specific Bible references and claimed that the school had not done similar lessons on Christianity.

The post seems to have struck a chord with people. Despite little coverage in the media, it was shared more than 100,000 times in the past week.
But many of the top comments disagree with Cali's stance, saying that learning about the world includes Islam and that the curriculum here, taught throughout California, does include Christianity.

It is not subversive to know your enemies! or your friends as the case may be.   We elect judges not because they are competent and the best of the legal profession, but because they are the correct race, correct ethnic group, correct political party, etc.   Thus we have terrible courts, corruption and the gripe that the courts do not serve the cause of justice but the parochial ends of some criminals.   We elect executives, administrators, representatives etc on the basis - and we keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

The article tells you why!   Right now there are few Christians (or Jews) who constitute a threat to America.   It is much more important that we learn as much about our enemies as we can.   For instance, how many Americans know that in Russia the fear is not the United States but China.   How many Americans know that a couple of years ago the under cover police officers (previously the KGB) knew each other because the wore Chicago Bulls sweat shirts!

The thought police whether liberal, conservative, moderate or usurpers such as Jerome larkin and his 18 USCA 242 co-conspirators are not friends of America - they are our enemies.

The American credo is:  "I may not agree with your statements or your opinions, or even your unspoken beliefs, but I will fight to the death for your right to express them."   Democracy is not a spectator sport.   Such includes the right of people to be bigoted, racist, and just plain horrible; however, our collective government must be fair, honest, provide equal protection of the law and no favor any group or person.   There is a distinction between private rights and public rights.    Jerome Larkin on his own can advocate for the most restrictive speech requirements, but as a public official he must respect my rights, your rights and the rights of every single citizen including JoAnne Denison, lanre Amu, Diane Nash ****.
