Louis Aldridge pleads guilty to embezzlement

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The man accused of taking money and other items while holding power of attorney has pleaded guilty to three counts of embezzlement.
Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood's office says Louis Aldridge entered the guilty plea during a hearing Wednesday in Lee County Circuit Court.
Aldridge was accused of taking nearly $550,000 from Florence Aldridge and converting it for personal use.
Janice Aldridge faces a two count indictment in connection with the case.
State Representative Brian Aldridge faced a grand larceny charge that was dropped by prosecutors after Florence Aldridge died.
The Aldridge's had been ordered to repay the money by a Lee County Chancery Court judge prior to the indictments.
Louis Aldridge will be sentenced Friday, February 6.
