A 19-year-old North Carolina man had already been told several times Thursday by the judge hearing his underage drinking case to pull his sweatpants up to his waist.
Then, as Jonathan Lee Gaddy was leaving the Alamance County District Court hearing, he yanked his sweatpants down to just above his knees, revealing his underwear, reports the Times News.
Chief District Court Judge Jim Roberson was not amused and ordered Gaddy taken into custody.
“You basically dropped trou. You showed your rear end to this court,” said the judge during a subsequent contempt hearing. “You acted like a fool in this courtroom.”
Gaddy apologized and said he hadn't meant to do so, the newspaper recounts. The judge gave him 10 days in jail.
