Charges Against Allard Dropped

Editor's note: Your ProbateShark believes charges were dropped because of "elder cleansing".  Elders are considered less valuable to society, therefore crimes against them are considered less important.  Alice R. Gore, a 99 year old ward of the Probate Court of Cook County was starved and dehydrated, but her death was considered natural since she only had a few more years to live.  Lucius Verenus, Schoolmaster, ProbateSharks.com

Charges against former Attleboro City Councilor Kim Allard have been dropped, the Sun Chronicle is reporting.

According to the report, a judge determined Wednesday that there is no provision under state law to prosecute her and it would be difficult to proceed with a charge of larceny under false pretenses.

Allard was indicted in 2011 after she was accused of taking advantage of former Probate Court Judge, the late Edward F. Casey. The prosecution said Casey suffered from dementia and memory loss, and purchased an Attleboro home for $328,000, then deeded it to Allard for $1. She pleaded not guilty in 2011, just days before Election Day. She lost her re-election bid.

Her trial was originally scheduled for this past March, but was pushed back to this week in Fall River.
