Just 11 days from now, we will be fighting in federal court in defense of Wyoming’s imperiled wolves.

We need your immediate support to help us wage this critical courtroom battle to end the senseless slaughter of Wyoming’s wolves and restore them to the endangered species list.

Wyoming’s wolf “management plan” is currently little more than a wolf-killing plan.It allows gray wolves to be shot on sight across about 85 percent of the state.

Right now, across most of Wyoming, you don’t need a permit or license -- or any justification -- to shoot or trap as many wolves as you want, anytime, anywhere.

If that sounds like a throwback to the Wild West, to the days when wolves were shot, trapped, poisoned and slaughtered by the thousands -- it is. And it won’t stop until the courts make it stop.

Your emergency gift will help us get Wyoming’s wolves back on the endangered species list until the state puts forth a credible plan that will truly sustain them over the long term.

Your financial support is crucial.

We’re not just up against the federal government and the State of Wyoming. We’re also up against the National Rifle Association and trophy hunters, who have intervened on behalf of Wyoming’s unconscionable wolf-killing policy.

Your tax-deductible contribution will enable us to face them down in court and defend our environment in the most effective way possible.

That day in court is fast approaching. Please don’t put this aside. I hope you’ll respond right now and stand with us in defense of Wyoming’s wolves.

Sincerely,
Frances
