Joan Rivers condo catfight's blond claws: 'I'm young, she's old, I'm beautiful, she's ugly'
The acid-tongued one may have met her match in Elizabeth Hazan, 41, who says, 'without makeup she looks like the Joker in Batman.' Rivers has been trying to get owners of unit 1-A to cough up $200,000 in unpaid condo fees — the suit by the owners charges that her accomplices have ‘physically sabotaged’ the two-room basement apartment.

Joan Rivers says she is a no-nonsense condo board president.
Joan Rivers is locked in catfight with a blond half her age who once owned a condo in her ritzy East Side building.
And while Rivers is famous for her acid takedowns, it was hitherto unknown Elizabeth Hazan who came out Wednesday with both gums blazing.
“Her problem with me is that I'm young, she's old, I'm beautiful, she's ugly,” said Hazan, who is 41. “Without makeup she looks like the Joker in Batman.”
Hazan’s highly-personal broadsides came after the corporation she signed her condo over to in July filed a $15 million lawsuit against Rivers, who is her building’s condo board president.
Rivers, uncharacteristically, did not immediately respond to Hazan’s taunts. And neither would her layer.
“I can’t comment on what she’s saying,” attorney Kevin Smith said. “I can tell you (the dispute) is over common charges, over $200,000 in unpaid fees and two prior actions pending. We’re looking at the latest lawsuit and preparing a response.”
Team Rivers scored a small victory Wednesday when Supreme Court Justice Anil Singh denied the Belize-based corporation’s bid to be allowed immediate access to Hazan’s former digs. He ordered both sides to return later this month to hash out this long-running condo war in court.
The ritzy building on East 62nd St. is actually a mansion that was built in 1910 and later converted into six-units with Rivers occupying the $29.5 million penthouse for the past 25 years.

It has four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, five fireplaces, a ballroom with 23-foot ceilings, and peekaboo view of Central Park.
In an interview with the New York Times last summer, Rivers, 80, described herself as a no-nonsense condo board president and the “scary lady upstairs.”
Hazan, who lives mostly on exclusive Fisher Island off Miami, said she bought the $2 million pad for use when she came into town and turned it into a showplace that was featured in Architectural Digest.
But Rivers quickly “turned it into a house of horrors,” said Hazan.
“It's personal between her and me,” said Hazan, who hails from Canada. “It's been that way ever since I moved in 2005. She spat in my face and called me a whore in front of my mother and brother when they were visiting me. Most mean woman you can imagine.”
Rivers’ attorney contends the dispute with Hazan began when she failed to pay her condo fees.
But in the lawsuit, unit 1-A owner Real Estate Holdings Group contends that the caustic comedienne and her accomplices on the board have “physically sabotaged” the two-room pad by ripping wires from the cable box, squirted glue into the locks, and intercepted mail and packages.
And when Hazan tried — with the current owner’s permission — to crash at the unit on Sept. 28, the doorman refused to let her in and threatened to call the cops, the suit claims.
“It really boggles the mind to think that in today’s day and age, this would happen,” S. Neil Meehan, a director of unit owner Real Estate Holdings Group, said in an affidavit.
