Amanda Bynes' mom is making it clear to her troubled daughter that her proposed conservatorship isn't a money grab, a source told the Daily News.
Lynn Bynes filed a petition in California last week to take control of the “Hairspray” starlet's personal and financial affairs, but the mom only wants to ensure her daughter continues treatment when her involuntary psychiatric hold ends next week, the source said.
“The goal is to get her treatment, either through the courts or some other way. That's the only goal," the source told The News.
When a Ventura County Superior Court judge appointed a lawyer for Amanda last Friday and postponed a ruling on the petition until a follow-up hearing Aug. 9, Lynn approached Amanda's new lawyer in the courtroom and asked that she pass along a message, the source said.

Lynn asked the lawyer to tell Amanda she loves her and doesn't want a penny of her money, not even the usual monthly fee paid to most conservators, the source said.
"Her mom has seen her (in the hospital). They're still talking," the source said this week.
Amanda's dad Rick Bynes also was in court Friday and signed the petition, but he is not named as a proposed conservator.
In their filing, the parents said they're "deeply concerned" about Amanda's welfare after she allegedly started a gasoline fire in a neighbor's driveway in Thousand Oaks, Calif., last week, stripped off her burning pants and injured her pet Pomeranian in the mayhem.

The parents also said Amanda has blown through $1.2 million of her $4 million life savings "in a very short amount of time."
They said they believe "a substantial amount of this money is being used to pay for marijuana and other illegal substances."
