Editor’s Note: Readers of this blog will not be surprised to know that a GAL in the Probate Court of Cook County alters records, perjures and forges signatures regularly. What is truly surprising is that no one from law enforcement has approached this Shark for evidence. Lucius Verenus, Schoolmaster, ProbateSharks.com

A 36-year-old Grayslake man was arrested Wednesday, accused of stealing more than $700,000 from his former employer, authorities said.
Ricardo Campos Jr. was arrested this morning at his home on a $100,000 D-bond warrant with the charge of theft over $500,000, a class 1 felony, according to a statement from Cook County Sheriff’s police.
The Sheriff’s Financial Crimes Unit was contacted in July by Allstate, which reported that Campos, a former senior claims manager, embezzled money from the company, according to the statement.
Campos worked for 10 years at the Allstate headquarters in,before he was terminated by the company this summer after an internal investigation, the statement said.
During the last five years Campos altered computer records on four accounts of deceased beneficiaries and directed those Allstate annuity payments to his personal bank account, the statement said.
Normal practice is to end the payments to the beneficiaries after they die.
Campos is scheduled to make his initial court appearance Thursday.
