Was it because Sue Lee did not have a living will

The question is how this all began.  Was it because Sue Lee did not have a living will and/ or because of failure to name her daughter as her choice of whom should take control of power of attorney?  My grandmother ended up with a problem like that in Homewood Illinois where we had all thought she had lost her mental capacity and she got put into a county home there.  One day out of the blue she just woke up and left that place flagging down a taxi. she went home where my aunt was surprised.  Grandmother gave her hell for putting her in that place but her home and her assets were not being taken advantage of by lawyers like in the Sue Lee case.  Everything was waiting for her.  How the hell can a doctor or lawyers or a judge come to the conclusion that anyone is permanently forever disabled or damaged and get away with that. Lots of people come out of a coma and lots of people recover from a stroke or even from cancer.  I would like to know how Sue lee could have protected herself and write about it.  The Northwest examiner and KATU don’t ask the right questions .  Why did the lawyers and the judge deny Sue Lee the opportunity to have a family member like her daughter put in the position of handling her power of attorney status?  for lack of an existing document or a living will or just because the friends of the judge were waiting there to cash in big time?  People need to know how to protect themselves from this abusive activity by the courts.  In an other famous case in Oregon all the court needed to do was appoint a “special representative” for on estate and they were converting a 25 million dollar estate to a $250,000 estate to the state decided beneficiary!   If you know the preventive measures in these cases let me know I will publish them....
