CHICAGO
A 76-year old south side man has died after a robber bit his pinkie finger to release $10 he clutched in his hand.
Frankie Baity of the 4100 block of South Indiana Avenue was jumped last week a block from his home. He began to complain of pain on Monday. When relatives took him to the hospital, they found he had four broken ribs. He passed away later that same day.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has ruled his death a homicide from multiple injuries due to assault.
