An autopsy conducted today determined that a man who lived in a group home in unincorporated Palos Park was assaulted and his death was ruled a homicide, officials said.
Tremayne Yarbrough, 35, who lived at 13211 S. Adsit Rd., was pronounced dead at 3:08 a.m. on Sunday at Kindred Hospital Chicago North, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
An autopsy found that the primary cause of death for Yarbrough was head injuries he received from a fall caused by an assault, officials said. The manner of death was determined to be a homicide, officials said.
Records show that the home at Yarbrough's address is part of a network of homes run by St. Coletta's of Illinois Foundation. According to its website, the non-profit institution provides residential programs for special needs individuals.
Officials from St. Coletta's refused to comment on the incident.
Cook County Sheriff's officials are conducting a death investigation, said Liane Jackson, a spokeswoman for Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart.
Jackson refused to say when the incident occurred and would not provide further information.

Editor's note: Strange...Cook County seems to have an epidemic of "falls" causing suspicious injuries and death...Sounds like the cover up by hospital and nursing home of Mrs. Cefalu's "fall". Lucius Verenus, Schoolmaster, ProbateSharks.com
