CORPUS CHRISTI -- The daughter of a South Texas judge said she is outraged that her father received only a public warning from a state judicial conduct panel.

Hillary Adams' response came at the conclusion of a state investigation of her beating eight years ago -- when she was 16 -- by Aransas County Court at Law Judge William Adams.

She was whipped on the legs with a belt and later posted video of the incident on the Internet.

The Texas Supreme Court suspended William Adams in November during an investigation by the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct, which issued its reprimand Thursday.

The judge can appeal or ask the Supreme Court to lift its suspension.

Hillary Adams, now 24 and living in San Antonio, said she's "just furious" over the outcome.
